Fig and Goat Cheese Bites with Honey and Thyme

This is fantastically simple but delicious  appetizer.

Prep Time: 10 min Cook Time: 15-20 min.
​Ingredients for 12 bites:

​1 puff pastry sheet
flour, for dusting
2 oz. fresh goat cheese, softened
6 ripe, fresh figs, stemmed and sliced lengthwise
1/2 tsp.  fresh thyme
​1 tbsp., honey

​Direction:


Position a rack in the center of the oven and heat the oven to 475°F.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 2 inch squares. Place the squares on a baking sheet, lined with lightly dusted  flour sheet of parchment or baking paper. Spread goat cheese evenly over the puff pastry squares. Arrange the figs on the cheese. Sprinkle with the thyme and drizzle a small amount of honey over the figs.  Bake until the rim of the pastry is golden-brown, about 15-20 minute.
